The NRL enters the last round before the finals this weekend. A likely finals berth awaits the winner when the Knights host the Rabbitohs on Friday night. The Cowboys, Tigers, Dragons and Warriors will fight for improved top 8 standings, while the Titans host the Eels as they both fight to avoid the wooden spoon.

Below are the latest fixture odds (subject to change). Links will be posted to Mike's (http://www.aussportsbetting.com/category/rugby-league/the-long-hard-look-with-mike-wilson/) previews as they become available.

Below are some comments on the weekend's fixtures from the traders at Sportsbet (http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/_T6yDmweRiXehJjIwNC_yVWNd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/rugby-league/). St George v Penrith:
Our traders are confident the Dragons will win and cover the line.

Newcastle v Souths:
It’s ‘Old Boys’ day at Ausgrid on Friday night, the Knights usually respond on the reunion days and we think this will be the case again, they’ll avoid their 4th straight loss and with that set sail towards the finals.

NZ v North Queensland:
The loss of Aaron Heremaia will also affect the Warriors potency from dummy half so our traders think the Cowboys with a start is the option here.

Cronulla v Wests Tigers:
This game will be tighter than most think and our traders think the Sharks represent great value at the start here.

Gold Coast v Parramatta:
If should be a cracker of a game and although the betting has Parramatta as favourites, our traders think the Titans will lift for Preston. A game that is too tough to call from a betting perspective however.

Bulldogs v Canberra:
The Bulldogs should win but the game yells KEEP OUT for punters.

Brisbane v Manly:
The big start appears attractive for a team as well coached and hardened as the Sea Eagles.

Roosters v Melbourne:
The Storm are professionals and they will be too good, but whether they cover the line is problematical. The Storm to win in ‘multis’ is the option here.

Ive gone the following 3 leg multi -

St George -7 start vs Penrith - Think Dragons should be too strong for Panthers who are now thinking about their end of season trip.
Cronulla vs Wests - 4 start - Tigers to do enough and keep their momentum.
Sydney vs Melbourne -7.5 start - This will be a tricky-ish one. Storm coming off their big game against Manly may be mentally fatigued after 2 tough games in the last 2 weeks. Though with finals around the corner I expect Bellamy to have his charges to keep recent momentum going.

Got $10 on it @$3.58

Looking forward to the last round of regular season, some intruiging games for wooden spoon, top 4 spot and the 8th position.

my multi bet for the week all H2H
tigers - will wanna keep momentum going and hold on too 4th spot.
dogs- big second half last week, bobcat ryans last game and if they win by 40+ might sneak into top 8
dragons- they are back like mike said. no grunt up front for the panthers and at win stadium, dragons should get the biscuts in this one.
NZ- my only worry for the week, should be too strong at home and get that 6th spot on the ladder to leap frog the cowboys.
broncos- darren lockeyers last game enough said, them queenslanders like sending people out winners.

It's funny to me that the Bulldogs V Raiders game comes with a warning. I'm really of the thought that the Bulldogs will towel the Green Machine. Will have a closer look and get back to you.

If your looking at getting on Storm tonight now is the time, with Billy and Cam rested their odds have been pushed out a little..

Ive got $40 on Storm with -5.5 start @$1.91

Just noticed that, if Roos get up Storm will be the last leg in a multi at the original odds of 1.38 and they bloody rest Slater and Smith!

This is rubbish by Storm.. very average. Surely Billy and Cam dont mean this much to them..even though its the last game of reg season, and a game that doesn't mean much for them would still have expected the Storm machine to roll on.

Im gonna need about a 30pt 2nd half at this rate..

Ahh well..

After a good weekend ive had a shocker of a Sunday thats killed it :-(
