Australia Sports Betting has published a full review (http://www.aussportsbetting.com/betting-agencies/bookmaker-reviews/bookmaker-com-au/) of the new agency Bookmaker.com.au (http://www.bookmaker.com.au/?a=11486&e=705). The Betting Agencies (http://www.aussportsbetting.com/betting-agencies/) section provides additional reviews and comparisons of betting agencies that are suitable for Australians.

Below is our conclusion:

Bookmaker.com.au (http://www.bookmaker.com.au/?a=11486&e=705) is a promising new entrant to the Australian online betting scene. The website design and state of the art interface are top draw, with excellent betting functionality and a well-designed account management area. We also liked the fact that bonus credit can be split up into multiple wagers rather than forcefully wagered in one hit. The main drawback of the service at the moment is its sports betting selection. The major markets are catered for, but only winner, line and head-to-head betting were available at the time of review. The company it still new, however, and we have been informed that the selection will increase to be on par with other bookmakers by around May 2012. Bookmaker.com.au is definitely worth checking out.

Best feature is the generous bonuses they offer to land you as a customer. Also I found their fixed odds to be very competitive. I recommend taking them up on that and trying to hit them hard. But be prepared if you do any good to get an email like the one I got:

Thank you for contacting Bookmaker.com.au

After speaking with the bookies, they have advised me that at this stage we are only able to offer you Mid tote prices.
Therefore any races that are offering best of the best odds etc, you will not be able to place bets on.

If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us as required.

Kind Regards

Jamie
Customer Support

and this:

On review of your account by our Bookmakers Dept, we are only able to offer you tote prices at this time.

This also counts towards sports events as well. This was an oversight within our system, thus the reason why you have able to place bets on sporting events up until now.

And just a word of caution: They are regulated in Norfolk Island. I don't have any knowledge about how their level of supervision compares with the Australian regulators. I presume there's a tax or cost advantage in choosing to be located there.

It is well known in the sports betting forum industry that hareeba is a shill and spreads rumours about every book out there that isn't pinnacle or an exchange mainly betfair.

Do not listen, there is only one intention with the hareeba shillington!

Gonzo, I am spreading no "rumours". What I have posted is 100% factual. I have the evidence. And I challenge Bookmaker.com to come aboard and refute it.

Furthermore, I know of other punters who have suffered the same fate there and at almost all the same bookies I have been kicked out of or limited severely.

The fact is that any serious punter is going to find that the only safe places to play where they will be properly looked after if they show any talent are Pinnacle, SBOBet, Betfair and Matchbook.
