The 2013 State Of Origin Series will be decided in Game 3 at ANZ Stadium on July 17 according to punters who have heavily backed Queensland to win Game 2 in Brisbane on Wednesday night.

Queensland’s odds of victory in game 2 have shortened significantly from $1.72 into $1.50, while the odds of a New South Wales win have drifted from $2.10 out to $2.65.

“We can’t write a bet for the Blues and the money is coming in 90/10 in favour of the Maroons,” Sportingbet Australia (http://www.sportingbet.com.au/partners.asp?btag=a_806b_464) CEO Michael Sullivan said.

“It’s been one-way traffic for Queensland since the final whistle of game 1,” Sullivan said.

New South Wales remain $1.47 favourites to win the series, however Queensland’s odds of winning an 8th straight series have firmed from $2.90 into $2.70.

Punters are expecting Queensland forward Corey Parker to have a big impact in game 2, and have backed him from $11 into $7 to be man of the match. Johnathan Thurston is a $6 favourite to be man of the match while Robbie Farah is the top Blues player at $9.00.

Billy Slater and Greg Inglis are $9 equal favourites to score the first try.

Queensland’s odds of winning Origin 2 have been crunched into $1.47 with Sportingbet Australia after a string of significant bets late on Tuesday night.

“We were hit with multiple five figure bets and every last dollar of it was for Queensland,” Sportingbet Australia (http://www.sportingbet.com.au/partners.asp?btag=a_806b_464) CEO Michael Sullivan said.

“The money has been running 90/10 in favour of the Maroons and we are struggling to write a bet for the Blues,” Sullivan said.

Queensland’s odds of winning game 2 have shortened dramatically from $1.72 since Origin 1, while NSW’s odds have ballooned from $2.10 to $2.72 at Sportingbet.

“If the cash continues to come in like this the Maroons will be 7 point favourites by kickoff,” Sullivan said.

Punters are expecting Queensland forward Corey Parker to have a big impact in game 2, and have backed him from $11 into $7 to be man of the match. Johnathan Thurston is a $6 favourite to be man of the match while Robbie Farah is the top Blues player at $9.00.

The big punters have opened their wallets and heavily backed Queensland from $1.50 into clear-cut $1.45 favourites to win State Of Origin game 2 at Suncorp Stadium tonight.

“We’ve taken a significant number of 5 figure bets for the Maroons to win and there’s been hardly a cent for the Blues,” Sportingbet Australia (http://www.sportingbet.com.au/partners.asp?btag=a_806b_464) spokesman Andrew Brown said.

“One of our punters has had $50,000 at $1.48 on the Maroons to win and another $30,000 at $3.65 on the Queenslander’s to win by 13 points or more,” Brown said.

The odds of a Blues victory in game 2 have drifted from $2.72 to $2.85 in the past 24 hours.

“For every dollar we take for New South Wales, we’re taking ten dollars for Queensland,” Brown said.

“Punters are so confident it’s Queensland’s day, we had one punter wanting to parlay Billy Slater for man of the match into Kevin Rudd for PM!”, Brown said.

Greg Inglis has been backed from $8 into $7 at Sportingbet to score the first try, with one punter placing a $2,000 bet on that option.
