Below is a preview of selected racing events this weekend. The following comments have been sourced from IASbet. The odds are as of Thursday afternoon, and are subject to change.

Caulfield Race 6 - Memsie Stakes (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/caulfield/race-6-51785.html)
9 of the 13 starters are first up making it a tricky race. Going with the Moody/Nolen combo on the kiwi mare King's Rose ($5.50). She has a great turn of foot and will be more wound up first up than her rivals. Heart Of Dreams ($3.80) is proven at WFA and will get a good run. He might need this to be at his best but sure to be very competitive. Rekindled Interest ($4.60) ran well first up and should run home strongly again. Shamrocker ($7.50) took all before her in the autumn. She's probably best suited at Flemington but looks set for a big spring and can run well here.

Caulfield race 4 - McNeil Stakes (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/caulfield/race-4-51783.html)
Really strong race with most of these headed to the Guineas/1000 Guineas. Tipping the improver Decircles ($6.00) who looks to have come back in great order following his 4.5 length win at Sale. This looks a good stepping stone towards the Guineas. The fillies look to be the testing material for him. Satin Shoes ($5.00) was very brave here last start and enjoys a 2.5kg weight drop. Metonymy ($5.00) came through the same race and was unlucky not to win. She'll get a good run from the barrier. Golden Archer ($5.00) doesn't have Sepoy to contend with here, but his task is not easy given the weight and awkward barrier.

Rosehill Race 5 - Run to the Rose (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/rosehill/race-5-51680.html)
Smart Missile ($1.80) on top here on the back of his autumn where he was the only conqueror of Sepoy. He's trialled well and looks to have come back really well. From his barrier he should go forward and sit outside the likely leader Karuta Queen. Foxwedge ($3.80) is the obvious danger. He should box seat from barrier one and has the fitness edge on the other contenders. His form behind Smart Missile and Sepoy in the Todman proves his class. Helmet ($3.80) carries the weight penalty courtesy of his two Group One wins and is giving weight here to a better horse. Look for him to run on and improve as he gets to 1400m plus. Karuta Queen ($10.00) will lead them up but might find the last furlong beyond her.
