The following comments are from the traders at IASbet.
Doomben Cup – Race 7

Expect a moderate pace tempo with Triple Honour crossing to lead from Manighar, Shez Sinsational, Lights Of Heaven and Mawingo. One way traffic here with punters very keen on Manighar ($2.30). He is a deserved favourite having three consecutive Group One victories this preparation. The only negative is that the BMW was his target race and he is here as an afterthought. The mares Shez Sinsational ($5) and Lights Of Heaven ($5.50) have both specifically targeted this event and look well placed to be super competitive. German import Mawingo ($7.50) is the wildcard, he gains the services of Nash Rawiller, should settle towards the front and must be respected.

BRC Sprint – Doomben Race 8

Nice race with plenty of hopes. Smokin’ Joey ($3.30) and Tiger Tees ($5.50) having a preparatory run before the Stradbroke. Good speed in the race with Listen Son ($31), Dusty Star ($10), Tiger Tees and Celtic Dancer ($34)all going forward. Looking down the weights for the winner, three year old Free Wheeling ($3.60) comes off dominant win last start, drops 4.5kg for this and looks very well placed. Carry Me Bluey ($7.50) is also very well suited by the speed in this race and looks ready to peak third up following his terrific run in the PM’s Cup where he made a terrific run late on inferior ground.

Sportingbet...

Greg Inglis has been posted at 1.80 to break Dale Shearer’s long standing State of Origin try scoring record in game one in Melbourne.

Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said Inglis’s record of twelve tries in fifteen games meant the South Sydney star looked a certainty to break the record during the series.

“Both Inglis and Shearer are currently sitting on 12 tries and if Inglis stays on the park through the series, it looks a matter of when and not if he will break the record,” Sullivan said.

“We have him at $1.80 to score a try in the first game, 3.25 to get the record in game two and 6.25 for game three.

Sullivan said punters were expecting Queensland to dominate the series again which should give Inglis plenty of opportunities to cross the line.

“Queensland are 1.50 to win the series and they are the only team punters are interested in backing,” he said.

“The Blues are 2.60 and have been completely friendless to win their first series in seven years with some strong money coming for Queensland to win the series 3-0 at 3.85.”

Sportingbet has Queensland as dominant 1.48 favourites for game one in Melbourne with the Blues at 2.68.

WHEN WILL GREG INGLIS BREAK DALE SHEARER’S QLD ORIGIN TRYSCORING RECORD?

*M. J. Martinez Sanchez vs. Sofia Arvidsson *

Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez from Spain meets Sofia Arvidsson from Sweden in the first round of WTA...

M. J. Martinez Sanchez vs. Sofia Arvidsson

Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez from Spain meets Sofia Arvidsson from Sweden in the first round of WTA Premiere event in Rome. Martinez Sanchez is not only one of the most successful doubles players - ranked as high as number 4 in 2010 and winner of 15 doubles titles - but also very good singles player who used to be in Top20 and won 5 WTA Tour titles in her career. The biggest success in her singles career came in 2010 in... Rome as she has won the title here after defeating Schiavone, Wozniacki, Safarova, Ivanovic and Jankovic en route to the title. So she surely has good memories on these clay courts. Martinez Sanchez has had problems with her right thigh lately and had to withdrew from tournaments in Miami and Barcelona due to this injury. So this will be her first singles match in some time but we could see her in action already in Madrid last week and she reached semifinals in doubles competition. Sofia Arvidsson is a player who clearly prefers faster surfaces and indoors hardcourts suit her game best and she won her second WTA Tour title in Memphis earlier this year. The two have met last year on clay courts in Bastad with Arvidsson surprisingly winning 46 76 76 but Martinez Sanchez was priced as low as 1.20 favourite that time. And now she has good chance to make the Head 2 Head even on her favourite clay courts. This time we can make a tennis pick on Martinez Sanchez with much higher odds than just a few months ago.

Starting Time: 14 May 2012, 15:30 CET
Bet: Martinez Sanchez
Odds: 1.709
Stake: 7 units
Bookmaker: Pinnacle Sports

The following previews are from the traders at IASbet.

BTC Cup – Doomben Race 7

High speed race that looks to have many chances. Since gaining Group 1 status in 2006, other than Black Caviar’s 2 length win last year, the other 5 races were decided by a short half head. Tipping Sea Siren ($7.00) to be highly competitive. She had blinkers applied for the first time two starts ago when she landed a betting plunge in good fashion followed up by a narrow second to Streama. She’s first up here but was put away with this race in mind, and is drawn to get a very nice run. Buffering ($2.70) has been well found in the market, but could be vulnerable late, as he has to cross from his wide barrier. Woorim ($11.00) has been freshened following an infection in Sydney. He possesses brilliant acceleration and at his best is a big chance. Beaded ($9.00) and Varenna Miss ($12.00) both raced well here last winter and must be considered.

RA Lee Stakes – Morphettville Race 6

Historically this has been a race for lightly weighted horses, and two horses fitting that profile are both 4yo’s on the improve. Carry Me Bluey ($8.00) found the line well when a fast finishing second 1st up. Top Drop ($8.00) was not suited first up behind Zaratone in Sydney, but that has been a very strong form race. Two mares, Mid Summer Music ($4.50) and Parables ($6.50) are both very well placed on their best form.

The Goodwood – Morphettville Race 7

A happy 21st to Black Caviar who looks set to dominate again. To add some value for punters, our market without Black Caviar is very popular. Go The Knuckle ($4.60) is top pick in this market as he has been excellent finding the line in his recent runs, he looks very talented. We’re Gonna Rock ($3.20) at his best would be the hardest to beat but was a shade disappointing last time, but previous form good. Slight query on a wet track. Stirling Grove ($4.60) ran well last time hitting the line strongly and will be competitive in the favourite out market.

In response to our favourable review of Moneybookers in our guide on *Depositing & Withdrawing Funds...

In response to our favourable review of Moneybookers in our guide on Depositing & Withdrawing Funds, Moneybookers have teamed up with AusSportsBetting.com to offer the following promotion:

Receive a 20% cash back from the first deposit you make with a bookmaker using Skrill (Moneybookers). The maximum cash back is €10 or the AUD currency equivalent. Learn more.

Moneybookers is a UK service that facilitates payments and money transfers through the Internet. It serves as a secure way to send money to another person or company without having to share your financial details. The service is regulated by the Financial Services Authority of the UK.

Australians can deposit funds into their Moneybookers digital wallet by credit card, bank transfer, or POLi. Withdrawals can be made by bank transfer or cheque.

As discussed in our guide on depositing & withdrawing funds with bookmakers, Moneybookers is an excellent means of transferring funds to and from your bookmaker account for the following reasons:

Deposits made using Moneybookers are made available in your betting account immediately.

You avoid having to send in scanned or faxed copies of your credit card to each bookmaker like you do with credit card deposits.

It’s more secure than deposits by credit card and bank transfer because you don’t share any financial details with the bookmaker.

You don’t have to deposit funds with Moneybookers first before depositing funds into a betting account. Moneybookers will handle the deposit into your Moneybookers account and transfer to your betting account in one step.

Moneybookers supports POLi for Australian users. This enables you to use POLi as the effective deposit method even with international bookmakers.

Moneybookers is a convenient means of withdrawing funds. This is especially the case for international bookmakers because it enables you to avoid hefty transaction fees associated with international bank transfers.

Moneybookers is widely accepted. Most Australian bookmakers support it and every international bookmaker we have reviewed accepts it. With some international services Moneybookers is in fact the only deposit/withdrawal method made available to Australian residents.

The 20% cash back promotion

The Moneybookers promotion works as follows:

Open a Skrill (Moneybookers) account using THIS LINK.

Choose Skrill (Moneybookers) when depositing at any online casino, bookmaker or poker room. You can view a list of bookmakers that accept Moneybookers here.

Receive your 20% cash back in your Skrill (Moneybookers) account within 1 business day. The maximum cash back is €10 or the AUD currency equivalent.
