    Initial thoughts:

So far I've just backed Australia @ 1.20. Tonga @ 1.41 may be worth a shout, but I'll look into it more.

Given how unconvincing Scotland were against Romania the 1.05 odds are poor value.

Seeing that we have yet to see a mauling yet, perhaps Japan +54.5 is decent value.

Nothing else really stands out to me yet.

    Thanks for the support guys!

Let's just say I can afford to lose what I've wagered, but I'll be too nervous to watch the game now

I was scared off the Tonga v Canada game after reading other preview material myself. The hard thing is they haven't played each other since 2003.

Namibia +31.5 doesn't look bad, but I've committed enough funds to these fixtures already!

Georgia +18.5 may be worth considering. They're playing Scotland in Invercargill and the forecast is for rain, which will suit Georgia. Also, they gave Ireland a real scare in 2007.

    Good call with Georgia pominoz.

I jumped on Canada @ 3.20 when they were up 10-7 at half time.

We haven't really seen any blow outs yet, so I think it's a good move. Plus Japan are incredibly fit and will work the full 80.

Im not sure what to do for the AB v Jap match..

Japan have made about 10 changes to their team, so a test of depth here.

AB resting Mils and Carter... SBW on the bench (no great loss their)..

I was leaning towards AB with -55 start... but with no blowouts in this Cup so far Japan with the start might be the better bet.

    Hi guys,

I have just backed Japan +80.5 @ 1.15 odds with Betfair.

I'm hoping that that the streak of no blowouts continues.

Hopefully the Japanese work ethic will prevent such a margin.

    Wow that's a huge margin!

Japan did win the Pacific Nations Cup this year, so on paper they're a stronger side than the likes of Tonga.

They'll be hoping they don't get a repeat of the 145-17 hammering in 1995, although Japanese rugby has imported... I mean, come along way since then

I decided on AllBlacks -54.5 start @1.91, put $10 on it... for mine too many changes to the Japenese to hold AB.. off to a good start with half time 37-0... hopefully a 60/70-0 socreling or something so you get up to Punters ;-)

Well done Goodsy! In hindsight my bet was terrible, but I got away with it thanks to a lone Japan try and missed kicks from Colin Slade.

Interestingly, most commentators had predicted that +55 was too generous. Japan have been disappointing tonight.

slade was the one that threw the intercept pass that lead to the japan try so you really owe the guy a beer !!

I would say Team Wales looked to be in top shape even with their loss. Loss a few but I was happy with there performance.
