An ambitious punter has wagered $1 million on Carlton's Heath Scotland to win the Brownlow medal.

Was this an astute move, or do some people have more money than sense?

It's a garbage bet, he's got absolutely zero chance. Last year the best play for this was to multi some winners of the most votes for each team markets. After punters made a killing last year, most bookies are refusing to offer a multi on the teams markets. Sportsbet are accepting multi bets, but the odds are hardly worth it.

The only way a bookie is going to accept $1m on a high odds wager is if they think the punter has no chance...

Pretty strange since sportsbet already paid out on Judd. Unless he knows something he shouldn't he's a moron.

With all the AFL betting contraversy this year, maybe Heath has had a dabble himself?
