The following comments are from the traders at IASbet (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/flemington/race-6-173075.html).

Flemington Race 6 – Kensington Stakes (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/flemington/race-6-173075.html)

Very good race with plenty of chances. Weekend Special ($5.50) is the top pick here with M. Rodd back on. He’s never been out of the Quinella in his career and looks capable of measuring up to Listed company. General Truce ($7.50), who defeated Weekend Special last time, will definitely be competitive. Decircles ($6.50) is the mystery horse. He broke through for his maiden win at Seymour last start, and first up here he’s been thrown into the deep end. He does have outstanding ability. The honest Canali ($8.00) is racing well and sure to be around the mark again.

Flemington Race 7 (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/flemington/race-7-173076.html)

Another open race. Chasse ($4.50) drops 6kg on good effort last start and finally gets a fast tempo to suit his style of racing. Bolton ($6.00) was ridden too close to the speed last time, but with a patient ride here can storm home late. Seguro ($11.00) is racing well without winning, but is drawn to get the perfect run and should again be competitive. Ship In The Night ($9.00) has solid Flemington form and looks better suited here.

Rosehill Race 7 (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/rosehill/race-7-173007.html)

Top weight Rolling Pin ($6.00) has options of crossing to lead or sitting outside Zoot Suit in a moderate tempo. However this looks an ideal race for lightly raced staying prospect, Single ($3.30). He resumed with an impressive win over Rolling Pin first up in December, and meets that horse 6kg better here. He was a little flat second up, but will appreciate the 1800m now, he’s drawn ideally and looks very well placed. Of the others, The Owl ($7.00) struggled with 58.5kg last week, but backs up quickly here and drops down to 53kg so can improve sharply. Tropicana Girl ($13.00) blew the start at her latest run, but has C. Brown back on, so look for an improved showing at nice odds.
