The following previews are courtesy of IASbet (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3O77L7zifyVX2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1).

SA Derby – Morphettville Race 7 (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/morphettville/race-7-275341.html)

Strike The Stars ($4.00) and Zabeelionaire ($4.00) are the leading contenders, slightly leaning to Strike The Stars as he has contested better class of racing, last time in the AJC Derby. Zabeelionaire was very impressive in his last win and looks an improving type. The Waterhouse trained Tohunga ($6.00) must be respected on his strong provincial form and has had good support with punters. Roughie in the race could be locally trained Essence ($51) who was third in the Oaks and can give a sight at big odds. Cornell ($12.00) looks a risk at the distance but is racing consistently.

Prime Ministers Cup – Gold Coast Race 7 (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/gold-coast/race-7-276743.html)

Historically this has been a race for lightly weighted horses, and two horses fitting that profile are both 4yo’s on the improve. Carry Me Bluey ($8.00) found the line well when a fast finishing second 1st up. Top Drop ($8.00) was not suited first up behind Zaratone in Sydney, but that has been a very strong form race. Two mares, Mid Summer Music ($4.50) and Parables ($6.50) are both very well placed on their best form.

Hollindale Stakes – Gold Coast Race 8 (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_SUPLHJFRM3OmKyjKP6IsY2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1/betting/horses-aus-nz/gold-coast/race-8-276744.html)

Interesting race with many of these are using this race as a lead up to the Doomben Cup in two weeks, but the soft track will complicate matters. Favourite Mawingo ($3.10) has been well supported and the German import was very impressive winning his debut Australian race at Flemington. He needs to lift his rating to contest the top spring races, so can be expected to be super competitive. Scenic Shot ($9.00) was 3rd in this race last year before winning the Doomben Cup. Wall Street (9.00) is a fit wet tracker ready to race well. Foreteller ($6.50) has been specifically set for this race by his trainer Chris Waller.
