Punters have been keen to take the long odds of $2.75 about Sonny Bill Williams scoring a try for the All Blacks when they take on the Wallabies in Saturday night’s Bledisloe Cup opener at ANZ Stadium.

Sportingbet Australia’s Duncan McRae said punters are backing the All Black’s huge centre combination to make an impact.

“Sonny Bill and Ma’a Nonu will certainly be an imposing sight for the Wallabies backline to face but all the support for Sonny Bill to score has most likely come from kiwi punters,” McRae said.

“He’s still a solid $1.42 not to score against the Wallabies,” McRae said.

Punters are also backing the Wallabies to win between 3 and 4 of their Rugby Championship matches with that option a $1.80 favourite versus 0-2 wins ($1.90) and 5-6 wins ($21.00).

New Zealand are $1.50 to win the Rugby Championship with Sportingbet Australia ahead of the Wallabies and Springboks both at $4.75. Argentina are $81.00.
