The betting interface isn’t as beginner friendly as it could be, however the dynamic interface and features will be sure to appease regular punters. Sportingbet Australia is a great bookmaker, and is one we particularly recommend to serious betting enthusiasts.

Not a fan of Sportingbet at all. Not sure if its just my account but they have limited my bets to a win amount of only $5000. I only found out when they turned down my bets and were quite rude about it too. I rang to complain to the floor manager he informed me that the risk factor for my account was roughly around the $5000 win amount and they would not take more than that. They did not even bother communicating this to me at all.
Anyway I definitely don't use Sportingbet anymore. Centrebet owned by the same parent company offer the same odds and are more then happy to take much larger bets.

It certainly does pay to take a closer look at things, Bookmakers have so many markets to manage these days that it becomes very difficult to manage them all.

You would have thought though that they would compile lists of markets which are derivatives of each other but i'm not complaining;

It's actually quite normal that Bookies don't enter into much correspondence when they impose win limits on an account, usually you will just find out when you go to place a bet. You're lucky if you get an email to inform you and they certainly won't discuss the reasons behind the decision. I'm limited to next to nothing here but found them to be an excellent bookmaker whilst I was playing there.

although my betting is mainly racing i want to tell people of my experiences with certain corporates. i found sportingbet comparatively good but recently i gave bet365 a try, it lasted ONE day, and profits of under $4000 for them to restrict my betting! Tom Waterhouse directed my bets straight to the TAB after profits of under $10k, and bookmaker.com.au were similar. if you plan on winning regularly i wouldnt recommend any of them. if anyone is aware of any bookies with ticker please let me know

Geez gutless bookies, I thought my 6 days before getting the boot at Bet365 would have been a record! But I only won about $400. As for TW ... I was betting on racing online but he put an end to that after a few weeks though will bet me over the phone. However he closed my online account so I can't bet on sports.

But reverting back to Sportingbet ... I did use them for a few years (mainly sport) and did ok but then they limited my bets to the level it just wasn't worthwhile any more. For racing they won't let me bet fixed odds, maxibet or anything other than mid-tote. Sadly this behaviour is the norm for Australia's corporate bookies now. IAS/Sportsbet, Centrebet and Luxbet have all either booted or limited me to betting in peanuts. Even TAB intercepts all my sports bets now and limits me to $500 or less, even for matches during the Australian Open!

Sportingbet has replaced its existing MaxiDiv with a new racing product called Best Tote Plus.

Best Tote Plus will pay the best dividend of all three Australian TABs, plus an additional 5% boost to winnings.

This product is available on all Australian thoroughbred meetings commencing on Tuesday August 27.
