John McEnroe often laments the lack of a roof. Apparently he called for organisers to build a stadium with a roof before the new centre court was constructed, but, being American, the organisers wanted to build the world's biggest tennis stadium instead, which is why we have the massive, souless, windy, and now wet structure that is Arthur Ashe Stadium.

From a betting perspective, what I find difficult are rain delays that break up matches, because momentum can change as a result of a break.

Nadal was down 3-0 against Muller when the rain came, but went on to win the set 7-6 the next day.
