Below are comments on selected racers from the traders at IASbet.
Horse Racing Rosehill Race 6 Christmas Cup
Rain in Sydney on Wednesday night and Thursday morning means we will be working on a likely track reading of a slow 7. The Victorian visitor Sea Galleon ($2.70) appears ideally placed on the minimum. Returning as a gelding this preparation he seems to be racing more tractably as evidenced by his big last start win at Sandown over this distance. Yulalona ($3.80) has improved at each of his three runs this preparation and looks set to peak fourth up as is his normal pattern. Roughies worth considering for the exotics are Merensky Reef ($11.00) and Nextanix ($3.60)
Doomben Race 7 George Moore Stakes
Top line up with most of the form coming through the Keith Noud Quality run a fortnight ago at Eagle Farm. That race was leader dominated and with the likelihood of a more genuine tempo combined with a softish track, expect a big run from Ready To Rip ($7.50). Topweight Essington ($4.40) put up a top performance against the bias in the Keith Noud and he has an excellent second up record coupled with the engagement of top jockey D Browne. Others worthy of consideration are Excellantes ($7.00, Brad Stewart is in hot form) and Spirit Of Boom( $12.00).
