A Sportingbet Australia punter has plonked $100,000 on Hawthorn at $1.15 to beat Adelaide in Saturday’s AFL preliminary final at the MCG.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said it’s been one way traffic for the Hawks so far in betting.
“We’ve taken plenty of five figure bets on the Hawks aswell and punters have crunched them from $1.18 into $1.13,” Sullivan said.
“Hawthorn could start even shorter than $1.13 if the money continues to pour in for them and it seems punters are only just getting warmed up.”

Adelaide is friendless in betting with their price drifting from $4.85 out to $6.20. They did get out to as much as $6.50.
In Friday night’s game Sydney remain solid $1.63 favourites to beat Collingwood at $2.30, despite the Swans having lost their last 11 straight against the Pies.
