    Afl 2022

With Round 1 fast approaching, the Brownlow Medal betting has already begun to heat up and it’s not the market leaders that the punters are coming for.

Sydney Swans young gun Isaac Heeney is tipped for a big year, holding the most turnover with Sportsbet at a $34 price tag.

Jordan De Goey has been backed $151 into $51 and sits fourth best backed, while previous Brownlow winner Dustin Martin has been well supported at $15.

Last year’s Grand Finalists sit atop the Premiership market with Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs priced at $4 and $6.50, respectively.

The Demons hold slightly more turnover than the Bulldogs, while Port Adelaide sit third best backed at $10.

“Isaac Heeney has shown his worth over the last few years with the Swans and it’s no surprise that he’s right up there in the betting. The Swans win-loss column will be a big factor in his chances this year,” said Sportsbet’s Simon Legg

Melbourne fans rightly have high expectations for the coming years, and the punters are backing them in to do it all again in 2022, according to Sportsbet.

The Demons hold the most turnover and have been backed $6.50 into $4.50 through the off-season.

The Western Bulldogs sit second best backed at $6.50, while punters are keen for Richmond to return to form at rare double figure odds of $11.

It may be over 6000 days since Essendon last won a final, but Sportsbet punters are predicting a big year for the Dons. Backed $26 into $18 and currently holding more turnover than three teams that finished above them in 2021.

The Brownlow Medal looks to be an open race with Sydney Swans young gun Isaac Heeney tipped for a big year, holding the most turnover at a $34 price tag.

Jordan De Goey has been backed $151 into $51 and sits fourth best backed, while previous Brownlow winner Dustin Martin has been well supported at $15.

“The Dees look set for a dynasty, but winning premierships do not come easy, no matter how good the list,” said Sportsbet’s Simon Legg
