    Weekend racing preview

    Caulfield Guineas Prelude (Race 5)
The Caulfield Guineas Prelude promises to be a very strong race. Golden Archer ($3.50) is top pick here. He should shoot straight to the lead and dictate the race and win.
Helmet ($3.00) is next best. He has 58.5kg but has a class edge on most of these and should get a good run on the pace. Chase the Rainbow ($6.50) ran well last time at Flemington and will charge home again here.
Likewise, Specter ($13.00) who won that same race at Flemington and looked very promising.

Rupert Clarke Stakes (Caulfield Race 6)
Going with Woorim ($4.50) on top here. He ran a slashing third in this race last year and looks to have come back even better this time given his massive win at Moonee Valley. Pinwheel ($8.50) is a model of consistency and should get a lovely run just off the pace. Smart Missile ($3.50) has drawn the widest gate, but if he gets any luck in running he's probably too classy for his rivals. Blackie ($12.00) and Dreamaway ($13.00) are two promising 4 year olds and expect both to be storming home late.

    Shannon Stakes (Rosehill Race 6)
Secret Admirer ($2.25) is deserved favourite here and has the best form around Sincero. The Epsom is her main target but she's in well here with 54kg, might need a touch of luck from barrier 2. The danger is Fast Clip ($4.60). His fitness gave out first up but he'll be on the speed in this and is suited by the rail position and will take catching. Torio's Quest ($4.60) ran super first up and is in great order. He gets back which is a concern but look for him to run on with a strong Epsom trial. Lone Command ($13.00) also ran well last start and expect him to run a race at good odds. He won at this track and distance second up last preparation.
