    A-League - Week 3

The A-League enters Week 3 this weekend. Brisbane and Perth are odds on to maintain their perfect starts to the season when they host the Gold Coast United and Wellington Phoenix, respectively. On Saturday is the Melbourne derby between Victory and Heart. Melbourne Victory start 1.76 favourites to put one over their local rivals.

      Brisbane @ 1.55

Great stuff qtip! Once it settles down, the A-League will be where it's at. $1.55 for a team on a 30 match unbeaten streak playing at home (Brisbane). You'd never see those odds in the EPL.

Smeltz can't sit still can he? Is Perth his third A-League club?

I fancy Brisbane at home this round as well.

Good luck with your bets qtip!

3-0 to Brisbane...good result. Gold Coast tested them and had the better chances for most of the first hour though.

Yep, pominoz, Smeltz's third A-League club. He's scored 51 goals in 79 appearances in the league, which compares incredibly well against Archie Thompson's 53 goals in 114 games.

I wonder which division of English football Smeltz (and other top players in the A-League) would fit into. I've seen a few like Dwight Yorke go to the Championship (2nd tier). Have any moved directly to the prem?
