The inaugural Indian Grand Prix is this weekend. Qualifying takes place on Saturday at 7:30 PM AEDT and the race is on Sunday at 8:30 PM AEDT. This race is tricky from a betting perspective, because there is no previous race history to go by. Even if a car is quick in qualifying this doesn't guarantee a fast race pace, because cars have access to DRS throughout qualifying, but only on one straight during the race. Also, cars have a minimum amount of fuel on board during qualifying and they start the race on a full tank. Teams often have to make a trade-off between qualifying pace and race pace, and with no previous race data at hand, it's difficult to predict the approach each team will take as they have different priorities for different circuits.
In the driver standings, Vettel has the championship wrapped up, but there is a four way battle between Hamilton, Button, Webber and Alonso for fourth. Hamilton has never finished behind a teammate in his career, and with Button ahead of him by 26 points and three races to go, he faces the real prospect of being beaten this season.
