US streetfighter and undefeated boxer Kimbo Slice may have knocked out five of his last six opponents but he’s failing to impress punters ahead of his heavyweight showdown with Australian Shane Tilyard tonight.
“There’s been only a trickle of bets for Slice while Tilyard has been backed off the map,” Sportingbet Australia spokesman Andrew Brown said.
“The biggest bet we’ve taken on Slice to win is just $250 compared to some significant four-figure wagers we’ve taken on Tilyard,” Brown said.
Slice’s odds have drifted from $1.20 out to $1.45 while Tilyard has firmed from $4 into $2.60.
“Slice is a mean looking individual and I’m not sure I’d be betting against him but our punters are smart.”
