Sasnovich has lost her past 2 matches but before that her form had been solid. Giorgi on the other hand has been patchy for a couple of months. Giorgi plays on the edge and it can all go wrong for her very quickly if she is having a bad day. Sasnovich will put Giorgi's service games under alot of pressure and if she can get a decent percentage of 1st serves in she should be able to hold enough service games to come away with a win.

Sasnovich lost in 3 sets. Won the first set but after that Giorgi dominated the match.

Kuznetsova has also been playing well after going through a pretty bad patch earlier in the year but I think if Osaka can put Kutnetsova under pressure regularly Kuznetsova's serve can get suspect.

Unfortunately Osaka lost, even though she had 2 match points in the 3rd set which she couldn't convert. Kuznetsova was then able to get it to a tie breaker where her experience showed and she took out the tie breaker 7-3.

Amazing odds for a player who has beaten Wozniacki in straight sets the last 3 times they have played. The reason Wozniacki is such a heavy favourite is because she finally found some form at the US open this year. Both women have struggled this year but Bencic took 2 months off after Wimbledon and started to look better in the US open herself. Both ladies play well at this tournament and I see $2.52 as extreme value.

This lost with Wozniacki winning in 3 sets.

Found a play I couldn't walk away from, just too much value on offer.

WTA Guangzhou Qualification - Tanaka @ $3.50 (Bet365) x 1.5 units = 5.25 units

Tanaka been in pretty good form and beat Namigata when they last played 3 years ago. Normally I wouldn't pay much attention to a result so old but as Namigata is 34 and her ranking has fallen around 100 spots in the last 18 or so months. These odds just seem to generous to pass up.

Martincova's run has to come to an end sooner or later but again the odds are too good to pass up. $3.75 is way overs, Davis is the better player but you don't make the semi final of a WTA event without playing well and Martincova is playing the best tennis of her career. Every chance to pull off another upset.

Martincova couldn't quite pull it off. Losing in 3 sets, she gave it a good crack though managing to win the second set even after picking up a leg injury. Just struggled to hold serve in the 3rd set.

On Martincova again, keep finding value at the odds on offer. On paper there really isn't much between these two, Pegula is probably the better player but Martincova has played and beaten the better players so far and has also had a day off, which helps considering she came through qualifying and had 2 hard fought 3 set wins in the main draw. I also think Martincova has a clear fitness advantage or Pegula so the longer the match goes the more I favour Martincova.
